BABY MASSAGE
Massage to babies is a way to reinforce the interactions between parent and child, and to contribute to the development of babies.
It is a method for soothing the baby.
The massage classes, consist in teaching the parents to massage their own baby. I do not do any massage on the baby, I show the movements and the positions on my doll.
Benefits of massage:
- It is very relaxing. Most babies appreciate these types of strokes soft and stimulating
- It creates a link between the baby and its mother
- It contributes to a good digestion, it can relieve from gazes or colic
- It promotes communication. You may be more alert to the nonverbal signals of your baby
- It regularises the sleeping pattern. Your baby will learn to relax, and his/her sleep will tend to be deeper and longer
- It is stimulating. Strokes stimulate muscles and blood flow
The best moment to massage your baby (from 2 months) is when he is awake, when he is relaxed, has his/her eyes open and is trying to make visual contact.
Use eatable oil and without danger, regarding that babies have the tendency to bring their small hands and feet to their mouth.
